Victor Ipatievich Askochensky (1813 – 1879) – relatively little-known Russian writer. The pupil of the Kiev Theological Academy, he was the lecturer of patrologists in it (1839 – 1846).
His monograph "Kiev with its oldest school Academy" was the first systematic exposition of the history of the Kiev Academy from its foundation (1615) up to closing in 1819.
