Album of drawings made by the Dutch master Abraham van Westerveld in Kiev in 1651, is an extremely valuable iconographic source. This album in the late 18 century was copied for the Polish King Stanislaw Poniatowski. Reproductions of drawings attached to the book by Y. Smirnov, are so valuable, that these copies are now lost. Great value have the comments to pictures and detailed history of the struggle for Kiev in 1651.

This edition has become a classic of Kyiv studies and now come in handy to all lovers of our history.
